Here are some interesting colour trends that might inspire your floors for this year. Looking at the buying trends of clients there has been a noticeable change from the ‘yellow’ and ‘red’ toned timbers, which are starting to be regarded as ‘dated’. Some architects and designers are going for blonde white or off-white wood flooring to create a more open feel to the space, which could also create a “beachy” look to a room. This look can be achieved by different ways, including painting or whitewashing the wood. These floors can be maintained quite easily as long as they are cleaned correctly and create an unparalleled warmth and class to any interior space. Timbers on the higher quality end of the spectrum will have no issue with houses that are home to children and pets.
